Historic Cape Cod has 15 towns, stretching from Bourne to Provincetown. Each town and village has ghosts and many stories to tell about them. In this book, the author has chosen some of the lesser known, but fascinating apparitions, such The Ghost of the 13 Churches - Dr. Abner Hersey Ahsoo, the Native American girl who sings with a voice of gold but has a face like a fallen log and the 300 year old parson who sneaks into people's yards to snatch posies from their flower boats. These and many other legends are included by the author, who visited many of the sites himself and not only wrote the stories, but also took a number of the more than two dozens photos that are included in the E-book edition. (The print edition does not have the pictures). In one of the most fascinating parts of the book, the author describes in narrative and with pictures, the eerie, secluded burial ground of the tribe of Princess Scargo. Because this graveyard is virtually unknown, and hard to find, the author has given specific directions to the compelling site, that overlooks Scargo Lake. Stories from all four parts of Cape Cod are included in this 'must read' collection.

Enjoyable read and informative. If you plan to visit the Cape or live there this book will help locate interesting haunted places with their ghostly stories. The story about the Pirate Capt Sam Bellamy is very interesting especially since the Pirate ship, the Whydah, sank in 1717 and was found in 1984. Add to this local lore that the Captain had a romantic relationship with a women that became known by several names including the Witch of Wellfleet. The ship is called the Whidah in this book but every article the spelling is Whydah. There is a pirate museum on the Cape with artifacts from the he ship reck. Yes it's a real museum!Product details

The Ghosts of Cape Cod eBook Bill Russo Reviews
Love this book! Cape Cod just got a a whole lot spookier!
Mr. Russo gave an interesting talk and I had to buy his books.
A lot of great short stories that piece together many eye witness accounts of paranormal activity on the cape. A great read albeit too short.
I enjoyed this book so much because my daughter and I vacationed on the Cape in Provence Town. We read about the area and this book was so enjoyable because when it mentioned places, we could imagine the very spots. Thank you Bill Russo for a great book
I really enjoyed this book! Very relatable for those who have been or are going to the Cape. I found the author's writing style to be easy and fun to read, with a good mix of history and story telling embellishments. I think it also works as a peek into the history of the places as well as a collection of ghostly tales. I would definitely recommend this!
